Decision point: choosing the investment type
Reusing a Custom-Decor Stand: The Number of Uses Changes the Maths
If a stand is to be used at more than one fair, the decision depends not on the price of the first fair, but on how many fairs the stand will be used at and in what sizes. Inside Exhibition focuses on the design, technical documentation and build of custom-designed exhibition stands. Parts designed for use at later fairs are reused; if they are not designed that way, they are produced again for each fair.
A modular system is not a type Inside builds; this article explains the calculation through custom-decor stands. How many times the parts will be used, which sizes they must adapt to and which sections are renewed at each fair are the questions behind the price.
How reuse is planned for each objective
For companies that want to showcase a specific product at one or a few important fairs, or build a space fully around their brand, custom decor allows greater freedom in dimensions, materials and form. Custom dimensions, different materials, large architectural elements and brand-specific details are realised in this stand.
For companies attending several fairs in different cities or countries, the stand can be designed for reuse from the start: the sections to be adapted to different floor areas and the graphics to be renewed at each fair are set at the design stage. The investment is thereby spread across several fairs.
The cost of later fairs
With custom decor that was not designed for reuse, the parts are produced again for each fair; if the parts were designed for reuse from the start, part of the initial investment is reused at later fairs. Storage, transport, reassembly, new graphics and fair-specific adaptations come afterwards.
Once it is clear that the stand will be used at more than one fair, the question changes. Whether the same structure can be reused, whether it can be adapted to different sizes and how much of it must be renewed at each fair determine the result.
